21 day self tape challenge

A few weeks ago I completed the Self Tape Challenge created and managed by casting Director Manuel Puro. It was a fantastic experience and gave me the oppurtunity to really push myself in terms of the material and creating a self tape in a short space of time.

It also taught me the technical aspects of doing a self tape, from framing, lighting, eyeline to how to compress and save the file. With the Covid pandemic still ceasing to go away, self taping seems to be the main process by which Casting Directors audition Actors and the word among the industry is that this is an important skill to learn. Hence I am really glad to have done it and would really recommend it to any Actor wanting to learn the fine points of Self taping.
